Where Can I Use SafeTrx Active?
Although SafeTrx Active is only available to purchase in limited countries (view here) there are many other countries where your SafeTrx mSafety watch will work without any additional charge.
There are two important considerations. The first one is that the country has a cellular network that supports LTE-M, the low power, long range radio network that the mSafety uses. The list below details all the countries where we have guarantees from the network carriers that the device is fully supported.
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United States.
As more countries roll out their LTE-M networks and guarantee support, we will add them to the list.
In all these countries your mSafety watch will work with the SafeTrx Services for tracking, sharing, assistance requests and emergency alerts by ensuring that they are all sent to your emergency contacts.
The second consideration is whether the area you are in is covered by a SafeTrx rescue organisation and the country in which your SafeTrx Active account is registered.
If you are in a region that is covered by a SafeTrx partnered rescue organisation, SafeTrx will send alerts to the local rescue services, as well as your ‘home’ rescue organisation and your emergency contacts.
For water-based alerts, outside of the covered regions, alerts will be sent to your ‘home’ rescue organisation, who will coordinate the next steps, and your emergency contacts.
Where location cannot be determined, and for land-based alerts outside of the covered regions, alerts will only be sent to your emergency contacts.
