Assistance Requests Overview

Assistance requests are available as a SafeTrx Service and they are available in every region, regardless of whether we have a partnership with a rescue organisation.

The idea of an assistance alert is that it gives you the opportunity to send a non-urgent notification to your designated contacts. In the future we'll be adding the ability to include some pre-defined messages with your assistance requests, but for now we recommend that you agree the meaning of an assistance request with your contact. Such as "pick me up when you receive my request with the location included" or "if you get an assistance request it means I've lost my phone so come and pick me up."

Assistance requests don't have to be confined to watersports either, you can use them anywhere that there is network connectivity, perhaps to indicate location on a hill walk, as a personal alarm during a late night walk or even to give to your teenager to indicate their location!
